Craig Simpson, CEO, has over 30 years industry experience (20 years in the hospitality sector) and is committed to assisting businesses find appropriate technology that is focused on successful operational outcomes. Craig has an operational background and, prior to starting Standing Rock Technologies, worked his way up through the hotel ranks starting in sales and eventually to Area General Manager for Event Hospitality and Entertainment. 

About ten years ago, as a senior executive, Craig became very frustrated with the complicated, overwhelming and influential nature of the technology industry. While Craig was aware of the latest trends and technology, he was very much reliant on the technical experts. To ensure he fully understood the products and solutions he was purchasing and implementing, and to ensure he was able to get the best value for money available (and keep the providers honest), he decided he needed to broaden his technical knowledge. He studied extensively and became very hands on with technology and today he stands as one of the dominant leaders in the Australasia hospitality technology space. 

Most recently Craig has been instrumental in the technical components of building QT Perth, QT Melbourne, QT Queenstown and Atura Adelaide Airport. He designed, procured and delivered leading edge solutions for WiFi, networks, IP TV, phone systems, audio visual, digital art, lighting control, mobile apps, door entry and CCTV
